George Noujaim

Minority Leader (District 4)

Elected Minority Leader in December 2020, George Noujaim has served as Alderman representing the 4th District since 2017. He is the current Aldermanic Liaison to the Board of Education. He previously served on the Waterbury Board of Alderman from November 2011 to May 2013.  

A consistent supporter of the entire Waterbury Community, some of the activities Alderman Noujaim is involved in include: 

  • WPS Back to School Supply and Book Bag Give-A-Way

  • Partnership with WPS Parent Liaisons to provide Turkey Dinners to Families in Need

  • CCMC Toy Drive

  • Food Drives to benefit Food Pantries operated by GWIM, SVDP & the Salvation Army

  • WPS Stock the Pantry Food Drive through ShopRite of Waterbury

  • Holiday Giveaways to benefit the needy including Christmas Trees, Presents and Clothes

  • Red Cross Blood Drive Sponsor

  • Food and Amazon Give-A-Ways coordination with New Opportunities, Inc.

  • Coach - Waterbury PAL & Waterbury Knights

  • Volunteer with multiple civic, religious, educational, athletic and community organizations and programs

Noujaim graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1998 and earned a B.S. in business management from Central Connecticut State University in 2003. From 2003 to 2014, he was a master general agent with American Income Life. In 2015, he became a sales executive at Mutual of Omaha. 

Married to the lovely Sarah (Rodia) Noujaim, George is the active and proud father of 4 children (Alexis, Jacob, Chloe & Isabella).
