Kelly Zimmermann

Board of Aldermen District 3

Kelly Zimmermann is presently serving her first term on the Board of Alderman for 3rd Ward, which includes areas such as Bunker Hill, Robinwood, portions of Waterville, and the Overlook section of Waterbury.


Education: St. Joseph's School, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, University of Connecticut, and Central Connecticut State University. B.S. in Marketing from the Central Connecticut School of Business.


Kelly has served in the CT Army National Guard. She actively supports military efforts across Connecticut and is a member of the CT Army National Guard Family Support Group (FRG).

She's enjoys staying active in her community and is a member of the BunkerHill Neighborhood Association. She's executed multiple community events such as "Make Music Day" in Bunker Hill with The Spirit of Waterbury, the annual Bunker Hill holiday wreath contest, and is always looking for ways to support and enhance her district and the City of Waterbury.


She's passionate about the power of people coming together to create positive things. She strives to create events and vehicles for our residents to unite and do amazing things that will enhance their quality of life, help others, and overall, keep value in Waterbury. Her two other top initiatives are to keep our neighborhoods clean, and safe!

As Alderwoman, Kelly understands that safety, taxes, and commerce are major areas of interest for Waterbury's residents. She makes initiatives to understand the cost of keeping safety and commerce in Waterbury while trying to keep a lean budget, and educating the residents on what assets Waterbury brings to families through the tax structure.


Kelly's involved in a majority of other organizations that help support our residents. She's the President of the (ABWA) American Business Association. The ABWA is a national organization that supports the education of women and provides an annual scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is continuing their education to college. She's also the Aldermanic Liason to Waterbury's Arts & Tourism Commission, Vice chairwoman to the Greater Waterbury Cable Council, and a member of the Waterbury Veteran's Memorial Council.
